Whether you’re cooking burgers, hot dogs, or steaks, it’s important to keep fire safety in mind.

Grilling Safety Tips:
✅ Place grills at least 10 feet away from your home, deck, and any combustible materials.

✅ Never leave a grill unattended while cooking.

✅ Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from the grilling area.

✅ Clean grease and fat buildup regularly to prevent flare-ups.

✅ Check propane tanks, hoses, and connections for leaks before use.

✅ Keep a fire extinguisher nearby and know how to use it.

If a fire does occur, remember: Get everyone to safety first and call 911 if the fire cannot be controlled immediately.

A few simple precautions can help ensure your cookout is remembered for great food and good company—not an emergency call.

Stay safe and enjoy your summer!
